Heart for Family

Grandchildren are a Blessing

Grandchildren are truly a blessing from the Lord. I had heard for years how there is nothing like being a grandparent. People can’t even describe the love that they have for their grands. Four years ago, we figured that out for ourselves.

Slade

Slade is our first grandchild. The minute we found out we were going to be grandparents, we were smitten. Everything that people told us came true. To see our son have his own son was such a blessing to us. I’m sure we drove our son and his wife crazy because we wanted to see Slade so often. Slade is a sports playing, super smart, Jesus loving little boy. He loves sports more than anything and he can tell you just about any score of any football game he’s ever watched. He is beginning to read and can do math in his head like nobody’s business. This boy is going to do great things in life! His strong willed spirit is going to help him reach high and dream big!

Ellie

Our first grand daughter was born in August of 2015. Ellie is such a blessing to us. She has the sweetest, gentle heart and she loves all kinds of animals. Poppa’s heart melts when she wants to see his cows! Ellie is certainly his little cowgirl. This precious girl melts my heart when she looks me square in the eye, hugs my neck and says, “I miss you, Glammy!”  Oh my! I am mush. Ellie is a wonderful big sister, loves broccoli more than cookies and is our precious gift from God. I can’t wait to see how He uses her sweet spirit.

Saylor

Saylor joined our family in November 2015. She is our never still, always on the go, baby loving third grandchild. Saylor is as tough as any boy because she’s always had a big brother to play with. She has to be reminded to have “gentle hands” at school, but has the most gentle heart. Saylor loves her babies and anywhere she goes, you will find her with at least one of them. Recently, I took her shopping. She had to get her “hurse” (purse) and what did she buy? A baby, of course! Saylor’s fun loving personality is going to earn her lots of friends and I predict that she will always have fun wherever she goes.

Jake

Our latest addition is this precious boy, Jake. He was born on December 31 and was the best way to end 2017. I have no idea what his likes and dislikes will be or what his personality will be, but I know one thing for sure. He will be loved!

Grandbaby #5

We are so excited that our family continues to grow. Grandbaby #5 will be here around September of 2018.

Our grands are the “apple of our eye! Poppa and Glammy have great hopes and dreams for these four blessings. We long to see them, talk to them and spend time with them every chance we can get! There is honestly nothing like the love we have for these four!

When I think about my love for these four, I can’t help but be overcome with the love that God has for me. In the Bible, we are called “the apple of His eye” and there is nothing that can keep us from the love of God. I know that He longs to hear from me or spend time with me every day. He wants nothing but the best for me and has dreams for my future. I am the apple of His eye and He loves me even more than I love my four grands. That’s amazing love. If you don’t know Jesus, I would love to share about His love for you. Call me, message me or find me!

Be blessed,
