1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-18
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Happy Thanksgiving week, friends! I hope this week finds you surrounded by family, great food, and stretchy pants!
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. There’s not the pressure of buying gifts for everyone like Christmas. It’s just a day that we set aside to enjoy a great meal with people we love and taking the time to remember all our blessings.
At the beginning of November, I challenged each of you to count your blessings each day. The thankfulness challenge blog post can be found here. It’s been fun to write something that I’m thankful for each day. My family, faith, warm home and health are at the top of my list.
The Thankfulness Challenge made me stop and think about my mindset. Am I living in a mindset of blessing or a mindset of lack? Do I whine and complain because of something I don’t have instead of being grateful for everything I do have?
What if we lost everything that we didn’t give thanks for? Would that change anything?
I pray that our spirit of thankfulness will carry us into the new year. May we always be grateful and count our many blessings!
And by the way, I’m grateful for each and every one of you who read this blog and offer me so much encouragement! It means the world to me!!!
Be blessed,
Vickie
